My artworks are a reflection of the themes and events that shape our lives, viewed through a lens of magical realism. I use egg tempera and oil paint to create figurative images that attempt to capture everything from the essence of humanity, to everyday events and the deeper mysteries of existence.

My drive to create art comes from a need to express my thoughts and ideas and to explore the challenges and dilemmas that arise during the painting process. I see the canvas as a space for experimentation and problem solving, where I can test new ideas and techniques in pursuit of a greater understanding and mastery of the art of painting.

My artistic process involves careful preparation, sketching and planning the work before I start painting. I work with egg tempera and oil paint in many layers and use bright colors and textures to create depth and complexity to the works. I aim to create images that resonate with the viewer on an emotional level and hope to spark wonder and curiosity about the world around us.

Through my use of magical realism, I seek to challenge conventional notions of reality by exploring the deeper meaning and symbolism inherent in everyday events. By depicting human challenges and successes in a surreal and otherworldly way, I hope to inspire viewers to look at their own lives with a sense of curiosity and the possibility of creating something new.

Ultimately my goal as an artist is to create paintings that are both beautiful and thought-provoking. I see the canvas as a space for exploration and discovery, where the creative process can lead to a deeper understanding of ourselves and our place in the world
